Braces

Traditional braces have come a long way since they were invented in the early 1800’s. Today, traditional braces are still by far the most common teeth-straightening method and are perfect for people of all ages (Kids, Teens, and Adults).  Traditional braces consist of metal brackets and wires.  Traditional braces are commonly used to address a variety of orthodontic issues, such as severe misaligned teeth, crooked teeth, gaps, crowded teeth, overbites, underbites, crossbites, and other bite-related problems.  They are highly effective and can correct even the most complex orthodontic dental issues.

Dr. Carbonero has well over a decade of practice experience treating kids, teens, and adults with traditional braces.  Dr. C only uses the highest quality premium materials and 3M technology for her braces.  By using the best materials she completes her treatments in the fastest time possible while still delivering flawless results.  And by using the best materials money can buy this significantly lowers the need for maintenance appointments for patients.

Braces treatment time to completion varies because each smile and orthodontic case is unique but our treatments are always completed within (24 Months or Less). The ideal age for braces treatment is between 10 to 14 years old.  But regardless of age it is always best to manage misaligned teeth as soon as a child’s adult teeth have grown in. By treating the problems early, we are able to prevent future orthodontic complications. Therefore, pre-teens and teens are the best candidates for braces but again braces are great for all ages.

Here’s an overview of the process and what to expect during orthodontic braces treatment:

Step 1: Consultation and Evaluation

During the consultation, Dr. C will conduct a thorough examination of your smile and overall oral health.

Step 2: Treatment Planning

Dr. C will develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your specific orthodontic needs. She will outline the plan of action and will provide you with all the details.

Step 3: Start Treatment

During your treatment, you will be seen by Dr. C at every single appointment from start to finish until your treatment is complete.  At each appointment she will evaluate the progress of your treatment to ensure everything is working correctly.

Step 4: End of Treatment

Once you and Dr. C are 100% happy with the results we proceed to remove your braces and then focus on esthetics and retention.  The process goes like this: Braces Removal, Digital Scan or Mold of your Smile, Teeth Cleaning, and Professional Teeth Whitening treatment.  Retainers (Retention): After your treatment is complete, we provide you with all the retainers you need (permanent retainers or removable retainers) to maintain your brand-new smile and prevent teeth from shifting back to their original position.
